Christening Gowns, Christening Robes, Christening Rompers and Christening Shawls along with silk booties, personalised bibs and shawls have been made and designed by Susan Lawson at Susan Lawson Christening Wear since 1998. Each christening gown or christening outfit is personally handmade and finished in our workshop, which is based at Holme Lacy in the beautiful English countryside of the Wye Valley near the Cathedral City of Hereford.
We have had an established web site since 1998 and have gradually introduced a range of Baby Cashmere, Christening Gifts and First Birthday Gifts to compliment our range of Handmade Gowns.
We have a lovely selection of christening wear for boys and understand that some of our customers prefer plainer gowns, that are beautifully made, and, that can be used for boys and girls. They all come with a full range of matching accessories which include christening bonnets, christening hats, christening booties, christening shoes, embroidered christening shawls and embroidered christening bibs. The shawls and bibs can be embroidered with baby names and christening date at no extra charge.
Our range of baptism gowns and christening rompers can be passed down the generations to become heirlooms. Some of the range is marked as limited editions, you can be assured these are very select with only about four or five gowns of each design.
Customising
We can offer a service of customising any christening outfit, or accessory you see on this web site. In addition we can offer a service to our UK customers to make up christening gowns or rompers from your Wedding Dress or use Decorative Flowers or Buttons etc to add that extra special touch to your baby's outfit. Payment
Orders can be placed online by credit card or with a cheque posted onto us.

We understand some of our customers are wary of entering credit card details online, you can be assured we use the secure payment method provided by Netbanx, we do not receive any of your credit card information as it goes directly through to Netbanx, a reputable, and longstanding, secure internet credit card payment gateway.
Delivery
Orders normally take 10 days, if you need anything quicker, this can usually be done,
please ring 01432 870977 or email us.
We operate a worldwide mail order service by DHL or similar, which includes the USA and Asia, in the UK we use Royal Mail next day special delivery.
Packaging
All outfits are boxed and wrapped in acid free tissue, to ensure they reach you in the best possible condition.
